Remote Temperature Monitoring, No Site Visits | Kilo

Remote temperature monitoring

Remote temperature monitoring instead of another site visit

Server rooms, warehouses, greenhouses, pump houses, vacant properties — places where temperature matters and nobody sits. Battery-powered sensors report every reading to one live dashboard, so you check a screen instead of driving out.

01

Spot checks only prove that moment

A Tuesday visit tells you Tuesday was fine. The overheating that starts Wednesday night runs unseen until the next visit — spot checks sample the problem, they don’t catch it.

02

Every check costs a trip

Reading one thermometer at a remote site takes an hour of driving. Multiply by sites and weeks, and “just checking” quietly becomes someone’s part-time job.

03

The costly drift is the slow one

A failing HVAC unit or a dying compressor rarely quits at once — it drifts for days first. Without a continuous record, the warning phase passes silently.

How remote temperature monitoring works with Kilo

1

Place sensors, skip the wiring

Battery-powered LoRaWAN and mioty sensors run for years and need no Wi-Fi or mains power. One gateway covers a whole site — through concrete, into basements and plant rooms.

2

One dashboard for every site

All locations report to the same real-time dashboards: current values, temperature curves, and device health side by side — on any screen, wherever you are.

3

Get called only when it matters

Set thresholds once. When a reading drifts out of range, the escalation chain notifies the right people — push, SMS, or email — and keeps escalating until someone responds.

Hardware, ready to work

Pick temperature sensors and gateways from the Kilo Electronics store — pre-configured on request, so devices arrive ready to place at each site. No IoT team required.

Remote temperature monitoring FAQ

How remote can a monitored site be?

Anywhere you can place a gateway. Each site needs one gateway with an internet connection; battery-powered LoRaWAN sensors then reach it across the site — through walls, concrete, and basements.

How long do the sensors run on a battery?

Years. LoRaWAN and mioty sensors are designed for low-power reporting, so there is no recharging routine — and Kilo’s device management shows battery state for the whole fleet, so replacements are planned, not discovered.

Can I monitor many sites in one account?

Yes. Dashboards group sites and rooms side by side, so one screen answers the question every drive-out used to: is everything within range, everywhere?

What sensors can I use?

Any LoRaWAN, mioty, or MQTT-capable temperature sensor works with Kilo — including combined temperature-and-humidity devices, cold-rated probes, and sensors you already own.
