Facility monitoring
Facility monitoring that never does a walkthrough
Boiler rooms, basements, roofs, vacant units — the places that fail are the places nobody visits. Battery-powered sensors watch them around the clock, and Kilo turns every reading into a live picture of your whole portfolio.
01
Failures start where nobody looks
A drip in a riser cupboard, a freezer drifting at night, a heater running in an empty unit — by the time someone notices, the invoice has three more digits.
02
Walkthroughs don’t scale
One caretaker can’t check every technical room across five properties daily. Manual rounds catch problems on schedule; problems don’t happen on schedule.
03
Tenants report damage, not warnings
When a tenant calls, prevention is already off the table. You’re now managing repairs, claims, and trust — the expensive part of facility management.
Facility monitoring
How IoT facility monitoring works with Kilo
Place wireless sensors
Leak, temperature, humidity, energy, and air-quality sensors run for years on batteries — no wiring, no Wi-Fi needed. One gateway covers a whole building.
See every building live
Dashboards group sites, floors, and rooms; the 3D building twin recolors itself as readings arrive, so one glance covers the whole facility.
Alerts that reach someone
Set a rule once. When something drifts, the escalation chain notifies the caretaker, then the manager — by push, SMS, or email — until it’s resolved.
Hardware, ready to work
Source facility-proven sensors and gateways from the Kilo Electronics store — and have us pre-configure them, so devices arrive ready to place. No IoT team required.

Facility monitoring FAQ
What can facility monitoring sensors measure?
Water leaks, temperature, humidity, CO₂ and air quality, energy consumption, door and window state, tank and sump levels, vibration on pumps and HVAC — any LoRaWAN, mioty, or MQTT-capable sensor works with Kilo.
Do I need Wi-Fi or wiring in the building?
No. Battery-powered LoRaWAN sensors reach through concrete and basements, and a single gateway typically covers an entire building. There is nothing to wire and no network to extend.
How do alerts reach the right person?
Every alarm carries an escalation chain: the first tier is notified immediately, and if nobody resolves the alarm, later tiers follow — each with its own recipients and channels (email, SMS, push with Critical Alerts).
Can I monitor multiple properties in one place?
Yes. Dashboards and the building twin organize sites, buildings, and floors in one portfolio view, and isolated organizations with per-page access control keep teams and clients cleanly separated.
