What the GPS tracker connector supports
- OBD2 trackers
- Plug-in dongles that read position plus vehicle data straight from the diagnostics port — the fastest way to instrument an existing fleet.
- CAN bus trackers
- Installed trackers that read richer vehicle telemetry directly from the CAN bus, for fleets that need more than location.
- Standalone GPS units
- Battery-powered or wired GPS devices for trailers, containers, machinery, and anything else without a diagnostics port.
- 2,000+ device templates
- Preconfigured templates decode each model’s protocol and fields — no payload reverse-engineering, no custom parsers.
- Maps with route history
- Live position and historical routes on the map, with the vehicle’s telemetry alongside — one view per vehicle, one view per fleet.

GPS tracker FAQ
Which GPS trackers are supported?
The Tracker connector ships with preconfigured templates for over 2,000 tracker models across OBD2, CAN bus, and standalone GPS categories. You pick the model from the template list at registration — if the device is on it, it is supported.
How does a tracker connect to the platform?
Each tracker is registered with its unique ID and device model, and the platform provides an endpoint URL for GPS trackers. Configure the device to report to that URL and its data starts flowing.
Can I see where a vehicle has been?
Yes. The map shows live position and route history, so fleet tracking doesn’t stop at the current dot — you can replay where each vehicle traveled alongside its telemetry.
Can I get alerts from the fleet?
Yes. Every reported metric feeds the rules engine, so you can raise alarms on the conditions that matter to your operation — with escalation chains that notify tier after tier until someone reacts.
